Commission
I welcome art commission of any kind. I welcome your own ideas/thoughts on a particular piece of work. Perhaps you have a particular color palette you wish to work with? I also enjoy working freely on my own with few restrictions. Maybe there is a piece you see that I have already done and you would enjoy having something similar? Either way you prefer, I am always interested in taking on commission work.
Whatever your desire, hopefully we can come together to select the subject/work that is right for you. Please feel free to email me at daniel@danieltackeroriginals.com, with your thoughts or idea.

Pricing
A small non-refundable deposit will be applied up front towards your painting. You are not obligated to purchase the painting, however if you do not like it, the deposit will compensate me for the cost of materials used to begin the painting.
If you decide that you would like to move forward with the purchase of the painting, the deposit amount will be applied towards the final price.
Obviously the size of each piece of work contributes to its cost. The size also dictates the cost of S&H for the work. However, if you live locally, I can hand deliver or arrange a pickup. All paintings will be ready to hang, with or without a frame.
I accept cash, check or money order in person. Any purchases using a credit card are done via Paypal. All of the photographs I have on this site are for sale, as well as any unsold paintings unless otherwise noted. I recently changed my enlargement service, which has allowed me to decrease the amount of my photographic prints dramatically. All sales are FINAL.
I also realize that for some, a payment plan may be necessary. I am willing to work with you using a payment plan of some type. If you'd like to discuss that option with me, please contact me.
Each painting is an original by myself. All paintings are done on high quality canvas, unless otherwise specified on the painting’s image page. I use 1.5” gallery wrapped canvas. All sides are painted so that the piece is ready to hang upon receipt. Each painting is signed and has a clear matte varnish to protect the surface from damage and sunlight. I also include a signed Certificate of Authenticity with each piece.
*note: If for some reason you purchase a piece via Blue Fin or some other art event, and you did not get a Certificate of Authenticity, please contact me and I can mail one to you.
Paintings are more difficult to ship and as such, shipping charges may vary. If you see a painting you are interested in please email me for the shipping amount. The shipping amount will be calculated by the size of the painting. Every effort will be made to keep the shipping at the lowest possible level while ensuring the best possible service. When viewing the images, please keep in mind that because of the web, colors of the images do not accurately reflect the vibrant colors of each painting.
The Print
All photographs are printed on either Kodak Professional Portra Endura Paper, or Ilford’s resin-coated Professional Black & White Paper. Special metallic paper by Kodak is also available per request.
Prints are signed, dated and numbered (if the edition is limited) on the overmat as well as the back of the print. Prices of limited edition prints increase as the prints are sold.
All photographs contain a short description of the subject/location as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.
I have selected by default the best sizes for each print, according to proportion, etc. Please keep in mind that because of different camera formats, proportions and cropping are different on some images. If there is a particular size of a print you would like, or if you need help selecting framing options, please don't hesitate to email me your questions.
The Frame
I can frame the print for you for an additional charge. I will use a classic black museum-style frame, matted with acid-free alpharag, and backed with foam core. The frames also use uv-resistant plexiglass so your image lasts much longer and are also glare free. Please contact me about frames: daniel@danieltackeroriginals.com
Copyright
When you purchase one of my prints you are purchasing the actual physical print, with the right to display the print for viewing for non-commercial purposes. However, unless specifically authorized, you may not scan, duplicate, copy, resell, publish, or otherwise utilize the image in any manner without prior written authorization — you will own the print, not the rights to the original image.
Shipping
Prints/paintings are packed carefully in order to protect them against the rigors of shipping. If a print should ever be damaged en route, I will replace the print, at my own cost, once the damaged print(s) is returned to me.
Prints are usually shipped within 10 days. In rare circumstances, it may take longer, in which case you will be notified as soon as possible. Prints are shipped via UPS (about 10 days delivery within Canada and USA). Please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
Shipping and packaging costs within Canada and the USA are based on the total cost of your order as follows. Shipping costs also vary for paintings because of the sizes.
International Orders
If you wish to have a print shipped outside of the United States or Canada, please contact me so that I can give you a quote on the shipping charges. Prints are shipped via airmail.
Payment is accepted by credit card through PayPal (I will only ship to confirmed addresses). If you do not want to use PayPal, I will also accept personal checks, bank drafts and international money orders (please ensure that your form of payment is cashable within the US).
Environment
All light gradually destroys all photographs and paintings no matter how they were produced: silver gelatin, digital, or some other method. It's just the way it is. But few of us really want to lock a photograph away in complete darkness so that it will last forever. Most of us buy art so that we can display it, and enjoy it during our lifetimes. In order to maximize the life of a photograph, there are a few simple things that should be kept in mind:
If you are matting and framing the print, use only acid-free, archival materials. For the photographs I sell, I use only acid-free mat board and backing board, as well as archival tape that is used to hinge the photograph and the over-mat to the backing board. Frame your photographs and then display them in a low-humidity environment. Never display any photograph in direct sunlight or fluorescent light, although, all light is damaging to a photograph, these two types of lighting are most damaging. When handling prints, avoid touching the surface of the picture. Even if your hands are absolutely clean, the oil from your fingers can leave prints. I ship photographs in acid-free plastic sleeves, which will help to protect your photograph and the over-mat from damage, fingerprints, etc. until it is framed.
